Young & Stupid

Just Some Of The Things I Did When I Was Young & Stupid:

Me

1. Swore I’d NEVER associate with my sister once we were not forced to live under the same
roof (we now talk daily and I miss her very much =)

2. Dry shaved my legs…Ouch!!!

3. Fell asleep with gum in my mouth (which almost always ended up in my hair)

4. Thought that whatever horrible situation I was going through at that time would last forever

5. Cared way too much about what my peers thought

6. Hated my mom because she wouldn’t let me wear makeup (talk about dramatic)

7. Wished my time away

8. Judged people without without knowing anything about them

9. Gave my little brothers ex-lax under the guise that is was candy (and got in a lot of trouble)

10. Thought Vanilla Ice was good music

11. Wore acid wash jeans with an elastic waistband and crease down the front (it was pretty bad)

12. Took the MASH (Mansion-Apartment-Shack-House) game way too seriously.

13. Let people intimidate me

14. Thought things were “weird” when I didn’t understand them

15. Underestimated myself

16. Didn’t get to know my grandmother better before she died

17. Dyed my hair blonde

18. Lectured too much

19. Pierced my sisters ears with an earring I found buried in the carpet

20. Let fear stop me from doing fun and interesting things

21. Didn’t speak up when it counted

22. Took a break from college that I didn’t really need

23. Followed others blindly

24. Bought a house when I wasn’t ready to settle in one place (Anyone want to buy a house?)

25. Made assumptions

26. Hurt others with my words

27. Held on to friendships that weren’t good for me

28. Let math get the best of me (the only class I EVER failed….arggg)

29. Held stupid grudges

30. Always compared myself to others

At only 27 years-old there will be plenty more mistakes but the good news is that I’ve learned from every experience.

What would be on your list?

  1. Dressed my brother up in a dress. Sat on the phone for hours in total silence bc neither one had anything else to say. Took my dads car only to find out he was keeping up with the mileage. Lol.
